I came up with the concept of a hall of mirrors, creating a labyrinth and using the polygon as a motif. exagons, octagons, pentagons all abound in the underground world and each has its own meaning. The Clone Room was designed as a hive of hexagonal concrete columns that connected and held up the hood from underneath. Radiating around these columns were the clone pods, and this arrangement created corridors that zigzagged in all directions endlessly. Mostly oldschool techniques of smoke and mirrors were employed to replicate the illusion and create a fragmented and infinite space. No green screen was used. e also built hallways and tunnels that wended their way through this complex leading to the various operations taking place. Research and development, manufacturing, administration, oversight, and surveillance, and ultimately, the lair of the main mastermind of the operation O.G. Fontaine ohn oyega. ut this is not the end of the film, as I mentioned at the outset of this article. The film ends as a reportage of the mayhem that breaks loose when the hood infiltrates the operation, destroying and rescuing clones. ack in Los ngeles, somewhere in Compton, we visit a very similar hood with a very similar vibe. e finally meet Tyrone ohn oyega who like Fontaine, maintains similar rituals of going to "Come Get This Drank!" Liquor store to get his malt liquor and lotto ticket and hanging at home with his homies. hen suddenly on national television, Fontaine is interviewed by a local reporter.
