The Tomb of Alexander The story's hero at one point needs to fi nd the tomb of Alexander the Great in order to defeat the villains. The exterior is hidden in a mountain in the desert, shot in Jordan where the crew built a rock facade with an opening in its face to provide access from above. The entrance leads to a winding sequence of chambers, each with an obstacle. It was fun to design the labyrinth of chambers with diff erent characteristics and traps. The fi rst one is a chamber with gigantic sitting lions in stone to guard the entrance. This is followed by an endlessly deep cavern where the fl oor has collapsed, leaving a very small, dangerous path to get to the other side. A secret small chamber with many branching paths becomes a crossroad in which one doesn't know which path to take, the wrong one could be deadly. Light clues help the characters to choose the right one. The fourth chamber is the Ekka priest's chamber where embalming takes place, two stories high with niches for the priests to sleep, chemical substances, carving tools, bandages and ornaments. And then fi nally, the characters arrive at the great chamber, with Alexander the Great's sarcophagus. Alexander's tomb was never found, so I dreamt of what could look like, the most precious of them all. Hieroglyphs on walls, gold leaf, a water pool, an amazing eff ort from all the Art Department with fantastic painters that decorated the walls in painstaking detail. Ceilings A. ALEXANDER'S TOMB.
