THE ARTISAN SUMMER 2022 • 13 e 9th Annual Make-Up Artists & Hair Stylists Guild Awards, presented by HASK Beauty, was held on Saturday, February 19, 2022, before a live audience at e Beverly Hilton Hotel. It was also livestreamed to an audience of millions worldwide. e awards took place before an audience of more than 800, including Guild members, industry executives and press. Actress Melissa Peterman charmed as host of the lively event. TV personality, actor and singer Frankie J. Grande hosted the red carpet preshow. Julie Socash, President, and Randy Sayer, Business Representative, presided over the awards ceremony. Winners in the Feature Motion Picture categories included Being the Ricardos, Coming 2 America, and Cruella. Television Series winners included American Hor- ror Stories, Emily in Paris, Pose, Genius: Aretha, and Star Trek: Discovery. For the categories in Television Special/Motion Picture Made for Television, winners in- clude Saturday Night Live, Dancing with the Stars, and Legendary. Daytime Televi- sion winners in make-up and hair went to e Kelly Clarkson Show. Children/Teen Program honors went to Danger Force. e eatrical winner was Cinderella (La Cenerentola) for both make-up and hair. Jon Favreau, Academy Award®-winning fi lmmaker, known for his creative, in- novative work in the Star Wars, Iron Man and Avengers series, received this year's Distinguished Artisan Award celebrating the extensive list of creative, exotic, and memorable characters in his plethora of fi lms, television movies and series. Favreau accepted the award virtually from actress Ming-Na Wen, star of Favreau's series of e Book of Boba Fett and e Mandalorian.
