Julian Tucker is the property's new General Manager and Terrance Frederick is the new Director of Sales, Events, and Marketing. In his new role, Tucker will manage all aspects of the hotel and its day-to- day operations including the property's 239 guestrooms and suites, dining destinations and rooftop pool. Frederick will oversee the sales and marketing at Andaz West Hollywood as well as the events taking place on property. Tucker and Frederick will be unveiling a brand- new suite elevating rooftop programing to include inno- vative brand collaborations, expanding outdoor event offerings with the hotel's new drive-in where guests can enjoy movies and live performances projected onto a 65- foot screen, showcasing art exhibitions and more. Tucker is a 25-year Hyatt career veteran with extensive experience in the hospitality world. He started off his Hyatt career at the Hyatt Regency Milwaukee in the security department and was promoted to Director of Security before becoming Executive Housekeeper. Tucker then took the role of Front Office Manager at the Hyatt Regency Chicago followed by serving in several department head roles at the Hyatt Regency Long Beach and Hyatt Regency Huntington Beach Resort and Spa in California. His next role was as the Director of Rooms at the Hyatt Regency Denver Tech Center before spending six years in the Caribbean as Director of Rooms at the Hyatt Regency Trinidad and Hyatt Regency Aruba Resort Spa and Casino. Prior to joining Andaz West Hollywood, he was the Director of Rooms at the Hyatt Regency Coconut Point Resort and Spa in Bonita Springs, FL. Tucker's community outreach affiliations include working with the West Hollywood Chamber of Commerce on a task force to bring more Black business opportunities to the area. "My Hyatt career started 25 years ago and I quickly found my calling in the hospitality industry," said Tucker. "I am thrilled to be heading up the superior team at Andaz West Hollywood and excited to work with them to continue to offer a stylish boutique luxury product that stands out in the market." Joining the Andaz West Hollywood team along with Tucker is another long-time hotel executive. Frederick began his hospitality career in 2007 in operations with independent hotel brands in Virginia before switching to sales in 2010. His first job with Hyatt was in 2014 at the Grand Hyatt Atlanta in Buckhead as Sales Manager with a later promotion to Assistant Director of Sales. He con- tinued at the Hyatt Regency Atlanta in the same role before moving to the Manchester Grand Hyatt San Diego as Director of Group Sales, his most recent position prior to Andaz West Hollywood.
