Senior audio engineer Warren
Munsey selected and mixed a
classic, high-energy acoustic rock
track from Omnimusic for a re-
cent "96 Hours to Deal"
Chr ysler Jeep campaign from
BBDO/Detroit.
Among the other sound li-
braries on hand are Killer Tracks,
APM, Groove Addicts, FirstCom
and Extreme. "I think we have
3TB of APM music, so when
we're searching, their tracks
tend to come up more often,"
Kelley repor ts. "They offer a lot
of underscores."
A five-spot package for Cox
Communications from Doner/
Detroit featured three different
APM tracks, "all very organic," he
says. "They were comic spots

money representing a person's
savings. They required quite a bit
of sound design, and the music I
selected enhanced the spots per-
fectly without being overbearing."
Pluto Post also maintains a
sound effects librar y with about
300,000 tracks, largely from the
Sound Ideas librar y. "We have
almost ever ything you could
ever imagine and use sound ef-
fects far more than music, espe-
cially in automotive spots with
car engines humming and tires
squealing," says Kelley. "Most
sound effects are processed,
EQ'd, rever sed or layered in
some way."
