Set in the time of King Authur, a sword maker wants to win Lady Linet's heart but first he must become a noble knight. Shooting took place at Pinewood Studios, with exterior shots filmed at Castell Coch, Wales and on location in Ávila, Spain. Alex Vetchinsky is credited as Production Designer for the film. During his career, from 1928 to 1974, he worked on more than 100 productions. Some of his films include The Lady Vanishes (1938), Hell Below Zero (1954), a few episodes of The Magical World of Disney (1974) and several of the Carry On films. This illustration was done by Terence Verity. He went on to become an Art Director and work with many notable directors; The Hasty Heart (1949, directed by Vincent Sherman), Stage Fright (1950, directed by Alfred Hitchcock), The Dark Avenger (1955, directed by Henry Levin), The Devil's Disciple (1959,directed by Guy Hamilton) Terence started working in films in 1943, having had a formal architectural training. He had a successful career in the Art Department and managed to get small parts on some of his films, even doubling for Errol Flynn in one scene, and, another time, doubling for David Niven in a skiing shot. In the 1960s, Terence feared that television would be the death of cinema so he left the film industry and went into architecture. Terence was born into a famous architectural family, his grandfather and his uncle were some of the best designers of theater and cinema of their time. In addition, his maternal uncle was the architect celebrated for designing the British Pavilion at the Paris Exposition of 1937. IMAGE OF THE INTERIOR OF BANQUET HALL.
