I look forward to bringing a fresh perspective while hon- oring those before me. While I am saddened to see Rachael Stanley retire, she leaves a distinguished legacy behind that I will enthusiastically build upon. I want to take this opportunity to wish her an amazing retirement may these be your best years yet. Finally, I would like to welcome Doug Boney as our Assistant Executive Director, I look forward to many produc- tive years working together. I am excited for this new chapter. While 2021 proved to be one of the most challenging years of my career, it has also shown that I am ready to take the lead and fi ght for what is most important to our membership. This year has demonstrated unmatched unity and solidarity within the Guild and the IATSE. y future vision is a stronger, more euitable Guild for all. The creativity and the stories we tell through the costumes are highlight- ed in the following pages. We see the collaboration with the actors, pro- ducers, directors and how integral we are to the story, often bringing the characters to life. As the reader, you have a front-row seat to the unparalleled artistry, passion, and dedication of the Costume Designers Guild members. With that said, fi rst, I must congratulate Sharen Davis on her Career Achievement Award. The Guild is honored to have such a distinguished costume designer as our recipient. Her body of work speaks for itself. I would also like to congratulate all the talented CDGA nominees. The cos- tumes are incredible, made more so by the challenging environment they have had to work in this last year. I look forward to working with some of the most talented, passionate, and creative people in the industry. We have a long road ahead, but with the participation of the members, there is little that the CDG cannot achieve. I am proud to be a part of the storied history of the Costume Designers Guild.
