M OT I O N P I CTU R E S O U N D E D I TO R S I 7 MPSE CO N TR I BU TO RS Korey Pereira MPSE Sound Ideas Releases the Soundelux Sound E ects Master Collection Korey is the founder of Soularity Sound, a post-production sound company based in Austin, Texas. He also works with Soundcrafter and other Austin-based crews. Editorial credits include works directed by Richard Linklater, Robert Rodriguez, and David Gordon Green, among many others. Recently, he updated his studio to support Dolby Atmos mixing and has expanded into 360 spatial audio for VR. Since 2018, Korey has also been a lecturer at the University of Texas at Austin, Department of Radio, Television and Film, where he teaches post sound. He has been an active member of MPSE since 2017. Vickie Sampson MPSE Dear Dialogue Detective After a successful and award-winning 40+ year career as a supervising sound editor with over 200 feature fi lm credits, Vickie Sampson uses her time for teaching, writing, directing, and playing with grandchildren and horses. She still edits sound for indie fi lmmakers and friends who need it. She has an Emmy, four Golden Reel Awards; has worked on Oscar- winning fi lms for sound and is a member of AMPAS, MPSE, and Alliance of Women Directors. Vsampson@aol.com Steve Lee THSM Founder Sound E ects History and Building Your Library Steve Lee has worked in Hollywood, in one capacity or another, for over 40 years. He has contributed sound eff ects to such fi lms as The Lion King, Apollo 13, A Goofy Movie, The Fifth Element, and many more. He is now channeling all the knowledge and wisdom gained in his career into creating The Hollywood Sound Museum. Charles Maynes MPSE Beyond the Boundaries of Visibility: Tamás Zányi's Sound Philosophies Behind Son of Saul Charles Maynes MPSE is a working sound designer and sound editor and is a member of the MPSE Board of Directors- his recent work includes the Paramount Plus/CBS dramatic series Seal Team. Eric Marks MPSE Rising from the Rabbit Hole Eric is the founder of Transported Audio, a post-production sound studio in Los Angeles. He has supervised projects for Netflix, Amazon Prime, Disney, EA, as well as countless trailers and commercials. He is a member of the MPSE Board of Directors, where his work has been nominated for fi ve Golden Reel Awards. Paulette Victor Lifton MPSE The Sonic Soul of Sound Paulette's career in sound started in 1997 when she co-founded Oracle Post in Burbank, CA. A supervising sound editor, Ms. Lifton has earned multiple Emmys and MPSE Awards for animation (DreamWorks and Nickelodeon) and for her work in documentaries (HBO and PBS). Her clients include Viacom, Disney, Netflix, Fox, and Showtime. Perry La Marca MPSE It's All About Timing…and Co ee Dominick Certo Perry is a member of the Board of Directors of the MPSE. A fi lm and television composer, he also teaches the media scoring courses at California State University, Long Beach. Some of his scoring credits include Big Hero 6: The Series, The Sarah Silverman Program and arrangements of award-winning songs featured in Nickelodeon's Penguins of Madagascar, just to name a few. He has received eight BAFTA nominations, including two wins for Pink Floyd: The Wall and Casino Royale and 16 MPSE nominations.
