The collection will still be available by appointment, but it will no longer be a lending arm of the library. As this resource becomes less available, the digital collection available on the library website continues to grow, and is one of the very best resources for printed material in visual research. The landing page for the digital collections is one of the great browsing sites on the web. Scrolling down past the search fi led will take you to numerous collections of the archived materials, and it is easy to get lost in designs for book jackets, Russian posters, historical atlases and pictures of doors from around the city. The search process is much like the ones from the other websites covered previously, with the list of A. THE SEARCH PAGE FROM THE NYPL WEBSITE. B. AN ART DECO PATTERN BY JACQUES CAMUS FROM 1922. C. A RUSSIAN ARCHITECTURAL DESIGN FROM 1875. fi lters down the left side that can be clicked on and off to narrow the search. The really nice additional feature they have is the abiltiy to download the image at a number of diff erent resolutions, which makes collecting images of decent quality very quick and intuitive.
