It's online resources include design documentation of architecture, interiors, furniture and drawings, sketches and drafting of all sorts of decorative elements, as well as many examples of the objects themselves, with a rich collection of furniture examples and smaller items such as ceramics, textiles, metalwork and much more. The best way to approach the webiste is to search the collection, rather than use the simple search page. This will allow you to refi ne the search with the fi lters on the left side. The most useful fi lter is right at the top, where you can only get items that have an image. The arious fi lters below this are ery intuitie, can expand to reveal criteria to narrow your results, and are easy to click in and out of if you don't like the result. At the very bottom of the page is an option to show fi fty results per page, which will sae a lot of clicking when looking at many records. nce you fi nd the image you want, you can sae the information by printing the page or saving the page, which will include a decent version of the image. There is no download option for just the image, but it will allow you to save the image to your downloads, or the best uality image will often be through a screen shot. A. CEILING FROM ACTOR DAVID GARRICK'S DRAWING ROOM BY ROBERT ADAM. B. THE COLLECTIONS SEARCH PAGE FROM THE V&A WEBSITE. C. AN ARTS AND CRAFTS CHAIR MADE IN GERMANY. A B C
