M . P. A . S . A Boris Leven worked as an Illustrator, Art Director and Production Designer in Hollywood for over 50 years. Between jobs he worked privately on oil and water color paintings, some of which found their way into private collections. After his death his wife passed seeral paintings and film drawings to the niersity of Southern alifornia and ew ork itysuseum of odern rt. oris was born in oscow but emigrated at to the S. e attended the niersity of Southern alifornia, graduating with a achelor of rchitecture in . e went on to the Beaux Arts Institute of Design in New York. He started as a sketch artist and illustrator and moed his way up the ranks. Some of his notable films are: Alexander's Ragtime Band, Giant, West Side Story cademy ward for est olor rt irection,New York, New York, The Flying Deces ,Invaders from Mars, Anatomy of a Murder,The Sand eles, The Sond o sic , Star, The ndroeda Strain,The ing o Coedy, Fletch andThe Color o oney.
