e decided to build the hallway and bathroom needed for the story on stage, as hallways in the units werent something that eisted. ia had really specifi c blocking in mind for how she wanted to shoot the scene. ith the buildings being round, all the units are like wedges of a pie, with eerything on a cure. e decided to make the hallway leading to the bedroom and bathroom also cured to make it more interesting. To create the mirror scene, we built the set twice, so we could shoot both the action and re ection practically. D Candyman was a fi lm that really loed being a part of. There was so much opportunity for social commentary packed in what thought could be a ery stylish genre fi lm. ia aosta was also an incredible collaborator and she really allowed me to participate in the overall storytelling process throughout the fi lm and that's what I've always hoped to achieve by working in the rt epartment.
