o that's the chmigadoon part of the euation and the largest part. And that's the part the audience gets to lose themselves in. The reality part where they meet the lead couple is deliberately stripped down, desaturated and simplified to sharply contrast with the colorful idealized nostalgic musical world of Schmigadoon!. It includes one real exterior day in the woods where they embark on their 'Love' hike, three hospital interiors where Josh and Melissa, both doctors, work, Melissa's very simple apartment bedroom, a 'fancy' restaurant where they celebrate their anniversary and my favorite in the realworld group, the 'destination' wedding set in the basement of some facility anywhere you'd like to imagine. It's hysterically horrible with an artificially lowhung ceiling, cheap wall paneling, fire exit signs, bus trays of dirty dishes, disco lights, all the trappings of a wedding that everyone has been to at one time or another. In the end, the real world is meant to be real but oddly impersonal and distant. ou know, like it often is, sadly. I should point out that I actually watched all episodes as they 'dropped' on Fridays and really became a fan, and not necessarily because of the design, but because of the musical dance numbers. They consistently blew my mind with how real and live and energetically they were performed. I would watch with a grin plastered on my face as the numbers erupted on screen with the extremely talented group of performers who were born to do this. My congratulations to them and also to the many talented, enthusiastic craftspeople from this world who framed them so beautifully. ADG A. DANNY'S WONDERLAND FUNHOUSE ABODE.
