Christmas in Connecticut is a 1945 American Christmas romantic comedy film about a food writer, played by Barbara Stanwyck, who lied about being the perfect housewife. She must try to cover her deception when her boss and a returning war hero invite themselves to her home for a traditional family Christmas. The Art Director was Stanley Fleischer. Other films of his are The Gorilla Man (1943), The Hidden Hand (1942), Them (1954), Private Detective (1939), The Lone Ranger (1956) and House of Wax (1953). A remake of Christmas in Connecticut was made in 1992 as a made-for-TV movie, which first aired on TNT, was directed by Arnold Schwarzenegger. A B
