the sound. But if the sound doesn't work, they give us
creative license to do what needs to be done for the
show and the storytelling.
Sometimes, we have the problem of finding the
original sound but there are only one or two instances
of it, and our episode requires a lot more variety and
we need to create material that matches what was
done, but also expands the library. For example, we
did a comedy short where the tribbles are reproducing
like mad, and we had great sounds of the tribbles, but
now we'd see millions and millions of them, they're
reproducing and they're doing different actions, so we
had to come up with new sounds to expand upon, but
also feel like they're very much a part of the tribble
signature sound.
