In this interview with Dennis Drummond, we will also focus, not only on his career, but on the relationship between himself and his wife Kim Drummond. It's very rare in our field that two editors meet, fall in love, and marry. This relationship of two kindred spirits has spanned 25 years of marriage, countless successful films, victories, trials and tribulations, and a respect for each other that is unparalleled. Dennis, you've had an amazing career, what got you into the industry? DENNIS DRUMMOND: It was the late 1970s and my brother Patrick was doing sound effects and sound supervision in Toronto. I went up to visit him and wound up staying with him for a while. Through him, I started assisting and I would sit in the room with the editors and get them trims and write up their cue sheets. I got to watch them cut and see how the process went. It was a great place to learn. I also did some dialogue assisting. We worked together on The Changeling in 1980. We received the Genie Award (Canadian Academy Awards). They are doing a remake of it now with Top to bottom: Dick Tracy (1990); A League of Their Own (1992); The Changeling (1980)
