For many years, Kim's shop was located on Wilshire near the famed Bullocks building in Koreatown. ow he is in a beautiful, well-appointed shop in orth Hollywood, inconspicuously located so actors may attend fi ttings without being noticed by the pub- lic. Kim has worked with many costume designers including, Jeff rey Kurland, Ellen Mirojnick, Carol Ramsey, and Louise Mingenbach. Kim is the consummate artist, and has a constellation of stars on his client list, from Tom Cruise to Ellen to Duane Johnson. He is quiet, eschews the spotlight, and projects the utmost pride in his work. He off ers exquisite, impeccable suiting. Why purchase an off -the-rack designer suit that may need tweaking when you can have a bespoke masterpiece at close to the same cost? Kim meets actors twice but will also work off a photo or simply relies on his eye, a skill that cannot be bought. Carol Ramsey recounts, "Dennis Kim was open to my designing suits on the actors' bodies to discover the right proportions and silhouettes.
