1 8 P E R S P E C T I V E | J U L Y / A U G U S T 2 0 2 1 Michael Anthony Jackson Michael Anthony Jackson was raised in Southern California: his formative years in Twentynine Palms and San Diego, and his reformative years in Los Angeles. After studies in illustration, painting, photography, and a season as an Art Director in advertising, he began work as an Illustrator and storyboard artist in Hollywood. He has worked on over 80 feature films, with an extensive group of A-list directors bookended by Tim Burton (Batman Returns, Mars Attacks!, Sleepy Hollow, Big Fish) and Taika Waititi (Thor: Ragnarok, Thor: Love and Thunder), and including John Schlesinger, Harold Ramis, John Woo, Mike Nichols, Ang Lee and Ben Stiller. When not drawing or painting the metaphysical, the artist can be found photo/documenting the temporal nature of Los Angeles Street art.
