Strategic Objective: Building a powerful union of educators by engaging our members, developing leaders, and organizing strong and
relevant locals.
e Arizona Education Association will establish a system to request a Spanish speaking translator to provide a mode of communication for
Spanish-speaking members. Th s includes Delegate Assembly, Summer Institute, and the ESP conference.
Rationale
Establishing a system will allow for inclusivity, access, and equity to our monolingual Spanish-speaking members. As part of the largest working
union, in the United States, we should provide access to all our members in consideration of our workforce. is will positively impact membership
engagement and recruitment.
