LMGI COMPASS
|
Summer 2021
With the return to production, the membership of the LMGI is being tapped to speak
on regional and international fi lm production forums and conferences, explaining to
the world how we were able to adapt and help facilitate the challenges production
had to face in a COVID world. We are being recognized for what we've always known
we are—the ones who venture fi rst into the unknown and lead the way for all to follow.
There is still work to do in our campaign for proper recognition. The LMGI is here
to promote you, our members, and the passion you all have for excellence in our
craft of visual storytelling. I encourage you to get involved. Sign up to volunteer on
one of our many committees, submit stories for the LMGI Compass and our regular
newsletter, help on social media with tagging the LMGI in your posts, share your
photo skills with a gallery on the website. The more we can share our experiences
across the globe, the greater is our ability to shape and expand the respect and
recognition for our craft.
My involvement with the LMGI has been life-changing and I cherish this opportunity
to do whatever I can to "celebrate the excellence of location professionals worldwide."
I hope you will join me!
