Congratulations to all of our nominees and winners. It was amazing to see George Miller join us from Australia and wonderful to celebrate the achievements of this year's Career Achievement Honoree, Dennis Drummond. Thank you to everyone involved in planning the show and adapting to the new format. It was a real team e‚ort. Big thank you to our show director Steve Avila, and to Anne Marie and Tracie Costabile for keeping us all organized. The platform we used was interactive and we trust that you saw a lot of your friends for the first time in a while and felt as close to being there as possible. We received a lot of positive feedback about the parties, before and after. Hollywood is showing signs of life again and this means many of us are getting back to work. I am so happy to see our members doing what they love once again. It has been a challenging year in many ways, and we hope the awards and other events put on by the MPSE helped keep spirits high and our members on the cutting edge of technology. Our last "Sound Advice" event focused on a remote spotting platform that some of our members have already started using. If you missed it, please go to our YouTube channel and watch it soon. We hope to host some live events later this year. Time will tell, and we want everyone to stay safe. Our swag store has a new MPSE 2021 Summer Waves collection. It includes great beach-inspired gear to check out. We once again thank Bernard Weiser for his years of service to the MPSE and his recent four-year reign as the Vice President. His organizational and decision-making skills have greatly helped the MPSE and he will be missed. EIPMA needs him now and we are thrilled to be involved in that venture. Steve Urban is our new Vice President. He has big shoes to fill. I know he will do a great job and I am looking forward to working even more closely with him. David Barber is our new Secretary and with his innovative ideas and dedication to the organization, we have a motivated and well-rounded board of directors. We thank you all. Have a great and productive summer! Please enjoy this amazing issue of Wavelength and stay safe. Sincerely,
