[bio-pic starring Melissa McCarthy as the late Lee Israel, the writer/forger of celebrity letters]. Jay Peck did the majority of the Foley at his studio, but I had some of these typewriters. As the Foley editor, I said, "Look, I'll do this typewriter and that typewriter." The production was gracious enough to send us some of the typewriters. I recorded a bunch of the typewriters for that, and for each typewriter we really tried to get the ac- tual model. The forgery in that film was very precise." "I'm using a Mac mini, which is a Solid State, very quiet computer. I've got it hooked up to two different movie monitors — basically TVs — and two different keyboards and two different monitors for the Pro Tools software. Everything just runs from that one Mac mini onto the ground floor and to the basement. I record myself. I stand there and I hit 'record.' I give myself a little pre-roll. I run into place. I do the Foley. And then I run and I hit the spacebar. Sometimes I'll edit it right then and there."
