We are also grateful tonight to have one of our own 706 members, Angie Wells, perform a beautiful memorial tribute for the artists we lost this past year. A special thank you to our Local 706 committee and member volunteers who did so much to help get our fi rst Virtual Awards show off the ground. Please know how much your hard work is appreciated. All the Committees and those who helped with connections to performers were such an integral part in helping secure most of the talent here this evening. Our 706 make-up artists and hair stylists, who graciously gave their time to help us with our pre-shoot, everyone looked phenomenal and it made the day so special with your help. This past year has presented its share of challenges for everyone and due to the circumstances, we are unable to meet together in person for this event. The positive aspect of this virtual show is that we are able to include many more viewers from all over the world, including our friends and family. Tonight we celebrate the amazing talents of the world's greatest entertainment industry make-up artists and hair stylists. These remarkable nominees are responsible for creating many of our favorite characters and memorable looks on our stars of stage and screen. The realm of these artists is vast and incorporates all types of productions including, feature fi lms, television, commercials, videos, Internet, streaming content and theatrical productions. Recognition and awards are not new to many of our nominees and honorees. Many have also garnered nominations and wins for their stellar work including Academy Awards, Primetime Emmys, Daytime Emmys, BAFTA and Saturn Awards to name a few. For some this is their fi rst nomination and we are pleased that you are being recognized here with us at our Guild Awards. This evening, we are paying tribute to Eddie Murphy with the Distinguished Artisan Award. Murphy is a truly legendary actor whose iconic characters are adored by all. What makes this honor so special to bestow upon him is the recognition of all the multiple characters he portrays. His loyalty and time he spends collaborating with his make-up artists and hair stylists creates characters to perfection. Please join us in extending a heartfelt congratulations to our Lifetime Achievement Award recipients Mathew Mungle and Terry Baliel.
