He is a graduate of Occidental College and San Francisco Art Institute's Experimental Film Program (MFA). He had the good fortune of studying fi lmmaking with the iconic fi ne art fi lmmakers Chick Strand, Ernie Gehr, George uchar and Martin Arnold. He shifted his fi ne art fi lmmaking practice to a career as an Art Director on feature fi lms, including Christopher Nolan's Batman Begins, Alejandro Agresti's The Lake House and Sofi a Coppola's Somewhere. Valentino served as Production Designer on Mike Mill's Beginners and on Ryan Murphy's HBO Emmy-winning The Normal Heart. Valentino designed Tom Ford's Nocturnal Animals for which he received a BAFTA nomination for Best Production Design and was also the Production Designer on F. Gary Gray's Straight Outta Compton, Andrea Berloff 's The Kitchen and Aaron Sorkin's fi lm, The Trial of the Chicago 7. His commercial work includes Production Design for Chanel, Apple, Rolex, Audi, Armani and BMW. Valentino lives in Brooklyn, N with his wife and two daughters. G E O F F W A L L A C E wanted to be an architect from the time he knew what a job was—by the time he earned his B(Arch) from Sydney niversity, he wanted to be anything but. A 'round-the-world trip led him to Vancouver, Canada, where he started working in fi lm and never left. Architecture gave him a solid foundation to become a Set Designer and then Art Director, working on such fi lms as Double Jeopardy, Elf and Tomorrowland, not to mention such classics as Thirteen Ghosts, White Chicks and Catwoman. Those years also allowed him to work with designers such as Richard Sylbert, Tom Sanders and Scott Chambliss, who have each helped distill his view of how good design will inform the audience and enhance the script. Over the last twelve years, Geoff has been the Production Designer of such fi lms as 30 Days of Night: Dark Days, The Package and Rattlesnake among others. His TV work includes the SA Network series Rush, Sony Crackle's StartUp and the recently released Nickelodeon series, The Astronauts. His design work has developed a style of controlled color palette and subtle visual themes that aim to create an intrinsic, unifying look with each fi lm. Geoff lives in LA with his wife and twin daughters.
