78 C I N E M O N T A G E I N M E M O R I A M D uke Edward Lalor Brown passed away on October 17th, 2020 at the age of 60, after a brief ill- ness. Duke worked as a sound effects editor for decades in the industry, work- ing in features and in television. He worked on such features as "Stuart Lit- tle," "Made in America," "Mobsters," etc. He was also on staff in the Sound Department at Disney Studios. After he retired from the industry, he moved to Lake Providence, Louisiana. Duke was a gentle giant with a huge heart. He was a dear son, brother, father and grandfather. He is dearly missed by all who knew him. Duke is survived by his wife, Jerri Har- vey Brown of Lake Providence, LA; father, Michael William Lalor Brown (stepmoth- M a r j o r i e " M a r g e " P o n c e passed away September 18, 2020. She would have turned 85 on Sept. 22. S h e w o r k e d i n F i l m S e r v i c e s a t ABC-TV from 1958-1961 and 1969-1992. She stayed to close up the film library MARGE PONCE SEPTEMBER 22, 1935 — SEPTEMBER 18, 2020 DUKE BROWN JULY 2O, 1960 — OCTOBER 17TH, 2020 after the Disney merger, then became a historian for ABC. She is survived by her daughter Lynn Benner, son Ron Ponce and wife Jeannett, her daughter Cathy, as well as her grandchildren Melīssa Grant, Donald Benner and his wife Kaitlin, and her six great-grandchildren. She was always there to listen when someone needed an ear and to provide a shoulder. HUMBROCK FEB 16, 1930 - MAY 31, 2020 J ay worked as a Film Editor for MGM and Columbia Pictures from 1952 to 1990. He was a graduate of Hamilton High School in Los Ange- les CA. Show business was in the family: Jay's father, J. Harold Humbrock (Humby), was an Academy Award-winning sound editor for MGM and worked on "The Wiz- ard of Oz," among many other pictures. — Edward Davis
