If live music is your thing...and I have a feeling that it is, then make your way down to the Coach House Concert Hall, located in San Juan Capistrano. The name concert hall can be a bit misleading as it is smaller than your typical concert hall. In reality, the Coach House is a restaurant with a stage, but if there is a band there that you want to see, the lack of size is a plus because every seat in the venue is a good seat. Of course, what is a nightlife without a little improv comedy action? The Brea Improv and Irvine Improv features some of the county's best up and coming comedians, along with a few well established acts. Most Recently, Tracy Morgan, of SNL and 30 Rock fame did a set, and acts like Wanda Sykes and David Spade have taken the stage in the past. One of the most appealing things about the Improv is that regardless of who is performing tickets are rarely over $25.00. Comedy is extremely subjective so it would be very difficult to rate this place strictly based on the acts alone. The best you can do to save yourself some heartache, is to simply go to the show of a comedian that you are familiar with. The food and drinks are just okay. But hey, you're there to laugh, right? For those who have experience going to comedy clubs, you know that it is best viewed in an intimate setting and the Improv provides just that. Not too big, not too small, but a nice cozy atmosphere to enjoy your favorite comedian. It would be nice to stay away from chains and not be too obvious here, but this article would be a disservice without mentioning the Yard House. This place boasts one of the most consistent and best tasting menus around. The music is always great, the service is superb, and the vibe is always upbeat. The Yard House has locations in Costa Mesa, Irvine, Newport Beach and Brea. So if you want to play it safe and are in the mood for a sure bet, put your money on this place for a great time out and way- above average drinks. If you were to look up Orange County chic in the dictionary, it is likely that Mosun & Club M's picture would appear. This sushi restaurant and club is tucked away in Laguna Beach and is quite popular with the locals. Asian decor abounds as the patrons party the night away. The Club is open Monday through Saturday and features creative sushi rolls that you will not find anywhere else. It would be fair to mention that Mosun & Club M is under new management, so for those that went when the club first opened, you might be in for a different type of experience. The beauty of Orange County lies in its variety of things to do, regardless of what you are into. There's a little something for everyone, no matter how eccentric your taste may be, the world class nightlife will continue to make the O.C. a destination for those that desire the best.
