Draht spent the past five years building his freelance career and has become a sought-after designer and creative director. In addition to contributing to projects for Sarofsky, he has provided groundbreaking UI/UX design to help Northern Trust Corp. create next-generation digital experiences. Through his work for Marvel Studios and major global brands, Draht helped land Cannes Lions and Emmy Awards, among others. He studied computer animation and fine art at DePaul University, giving him strong technical and creative foundations. CONRAD OSTWALD Animation and VFX studio Woodblock in Berlin, Germany, has appointed Conrad Ostwald to the role of head of production. His skills in production management are a key addition to the independent studio's ongoing mission to streamline pipeline and production processes. Ostwald began his career at Buck New York, where he spent six years refining his skills in design, animation and project management. He returned to Berlin in 2013, where he freelanced as a motion designer and VFX compositor for a number of leading studios, including Rise FX, Sehsucht and Parasol Island, before joining Foam Studio in 2018 as head of production. In his new role, Ostwald will ensure that projects of all sizes run smoothly, both for the team at Woodblock and for clients. RAY SISTERS Creative company The-Artery in New York City has added to its roster of storytellers with the recent signing of the directing duo, Ray Sisters. Boasting a diverse and extensive skill set across the fields of directing, cinematography and editing, the duo of (L-R) Austin and Westin Ray create films with a beating pulse. Their work is anchored by a vibrant, cinematic and observational style that aims to capture authentic performances grounded in human stories. By com- bining their skills, the duo shines a light on the beauty of the unexpected mo- ments people experience in everyday life. The idea for Ray Sisters came about as both sisters fine-tuned their separate talents in film school. After working various production roles, including producing shorts and music videos, as well as composing, the sisters decided it was time to form a directing duo. RAMSEY NAITO Ramsey Naito has been named president of Nickelodeon Animation in Burbank, CA, reporting to ViacomCBS Kids & Family president Brian Robbins. In this position she will oversee the network's animation content across all formats and platforms, spanning linear, digital, TV movies, theatrical motion pictures and SVOD. Formerly executive vice president of animation pro- duction and development for the Nickelodeon Group, Naito joined Nickelodeon in 2018 and has since overseen a renaissance at the studio of animation con- tent and production in scale and creativity. Prior to joining Nickelodeon, Naito oversaw production on Paramount Pictures' upcoming theatrical feature Sponge on the Run. She produced DreamWorks Animation's Oscar-nominated feature The Boss Baby. Before her time at DreamWorks Animation, Ramsey worked as a producer for Blue Sky Studios, at Cartoon Network as head of movies, and at Nickelodeon Movies as VP of development & production. BRAD RUMLER Sequin AR, a Glastonbury, CT-based provider of aug- mented reality services, has appointed Brad Rumler as the company's new vice president of sales — a new- ly-created position. Rumler will lead Sequin AR's sales and business development efforts further into existing and new market sectors for its augmented reality and virtual production solutions, including Sequin AR's Glimmer Virtual Control software and related service offerings. Additionally, he will also help further develop and expand Sequin's partnership channels. Rumler joins Sequin AR with more than 25 years of experience, primarily within the Australian, US and Canadian markets. He's held in-house positions with top technology companies working across the disciplines of graphics, broadcast, VFX and IT. Prior to joining Sequin, Rumler most recently served as VP of sales for Brainstorm, a realtime graphics solutions company that collabo- rated with broadcasters and studios in the US and Canadian markets.
