Most recently, the call of the wild brought Tom to the remote deserts of Jordan. He spent
weeks in Wadi Rum with Bedouin trad climbers (traditional rock climbers) and arranged private
access to film Petra by night, lit by a thousand candles, carrying equipment up crumbling
sandstone jebels. He explored harsh below-freezing white-out conditions in Scotland, found
caves behind waterfalls in the Faroe Islands and carried more heavy packs up more mountains
than he can recall. All that he explains with a grin, enjoying the memories, then adds, "And it's
been truly superb."
