of Disruption

ue to the pandemic's
devastating impact on
the industry, the SAG-AFTRA
Foundation and SAG-AFTRA
Motion Picture Players Welfare Fund
launched the COVID-19 Relief Fund
on March 16 to provide emergency
aid to members seeking assistance
with basic living expenses such
as food, rent, health premiums
and medical costs to support their
families. At press time, the fund has
distributed more than $5.5 million
to 5,900 members and counting.

While production is slow to
resume and many may face financial
distress ahead, the Foundation's goal
is to raise $12 million to support our
community during this time of crisis.
