noticed my tattoo and mentioned that Brian was looking for a hair stylist to head up the department on a new project. She hinted heavily to me what the project might be about, but didn't tell me. I knew then and there that I HAD to get this job, and I asked her to please arrange a meeting between Brian and me. I was concerned Brian would think I wasn't qualifi ed to run this large of a show, as I had taken a break from department heading episodic or fi lm projects after having my daughter. I remember saying to him, "Look, you may fi nd someone with a bigger résumé, with more recent department head credits, but you will NEVER fi nd someone who knows the source material like I do." I knew without a doubt that I was the best person he could have for this job. When he asked me to do the project, I ran the idea past my daughter, telling her that it would mean I would be gone for long days and only be with her on the weekends, but she looked at me and said, "Mom, it's Star Wars! You HAVE to do this!" BS: After meeting for coffee, I knew she was the one. Photos courtesy of Walt Disney Studios
