PRODUCTS www.postmagazine.com 35 POST MAY/JUNE 2020 EIZO DELIVERS 4K HDR REFERENCE MONITOR CYPRESS, CA — Eizo (eizo.com) has released the ColorEdge Prominence CG3146, a 31.1-inch, DCI-4K (4096x2160) high dynamic range reference monitor. The CG3146 is designed for post production applications, including color grading. As the successor Eizo's flagship HDR reference monitor, the ColorEdge Prominence CG3146 is the company's first to incorporate a built-in calibration sensor. The new model correctly shows both very bright and very dark areas on the screen without sacrificing the integrity of either. This is something that cannot be achieved with standard dynamic range monitors. The CG3146 achieves 1000cd/m2 (typical) high brightness and 1,000,000:1 contrast ratio for true HDR display. Hardware calibration ensures the screen stays color-accurate over time and streamlines color management. With Eizo's ColorNavigator 7 color management software, users can regularly calibrate and quality control their monitor quickly and reliably. Users can also calibrate all color modes simulta- neously, setup regular recalibration intervals, and maintain quality control in multi-monitor environments, all with a single software application. Additional features include single-link 12G/6G/3G/HD-SDI and dual- or quad-Link 3G/HD-SDI; VPID support for SDI connections; HDMI and DisplayPort inputs; 99 percent reproduction of DCI-P3; and 3D LUT for individual color adjustment on an RGB cubic table. A light-shielding hood is included, along with a five-year manufacturer's warranty. SGO ENHANCES MISTIKA POST SYSTEM MADRID, SPAIN — SGO (www.sgo.es) has enhanced its Mistika post pro- duction system with new features that elevate the efficiency of color-based workflows and provide greater finesse in color-grading processes. Ideas and inspiration for Mistika 10 came directly from the creative industry. When planning the new layout of the color interface, the main goal was to facilitate functionality without discarding any of the existing features nor limiting Mistika's color corrector. Mistika Boutique and Mistika Ultima users will find many new features and enhancements designed to boost overall produc- tivity, including a completely redesigned visual editor, metadata embed for raw media, embedded scale parameters for all clips, quick access to shapes, new common shape presets for all FX, and a reorganized menu for histories. Mistika 10 is currently in open beta and available to all Mistika Boutique and Mistika Ultima users in the download section of their online SGO account. This pre-release is also available completely free of charge as an evaluation version of Mistika Boutique. BLACKMAGIC DESIGN SHIPS 8K MONITORING SOLUTION FREMONT, CA — Blackmagic Design (www.blackmagicdesign.com) has re- leased the Teranex Mini SDI to DisplayPort 8K HDR, an 8K DisplayPort moni- toring solution for monitors such as the new Apple Pro Display XDR. With dual on-screen scope overlays, HDR, scaled and pixel-by-pixel modes, and 33 point 3D LUTs, the Teranex Mini SDI to DisplayPort has been specifically designed for use in professional film and television workflows. Teranex Mini SDI to DisplayPort 8K HDR is well suited for film studios and broadcasters that need professional-but-affordable, color-accurate monitor- ing. The front panel includes controls and a color display for monitoring the video input, audio meters and video standard indication. With Pro Display XDR, this panel can be used to control display settings, such as switching reference modes and adjusting brightness. The rear panel has Quad Link 12G-SDI for HD, Ultra HD as well as up to 8K formats. There is a USB-C style connection for monitors such as the Pro Display XDR, and two full size DisplayPort connections for regular computer monitors. The built-in scaler will ensure the video input standard is scaled to the native resolution of the connected DisplayPort monitor. Or, use the built-in pixel-by-pixel mode to view unscaled HD or 4K content. Customers can also connect both 2SI and Square Division inputs. Teranex Mini SDI to DisplayPort 8K HDR includes the same high quality 33 point 3D LUTs as used in the film industry. Two independent 3D LUTs can be loaded and customers can select between them from the front panel. Teranex Mini SDI to DisplayPort 8K HDR is available now from Blackmagic Design re- sellers worldwide for $1,295.
