The boss, Ryan Murphy, contacted me while I was in Atlanta on Ron Howard's Hillbilly Elegy to give me the scoop on his newest project to get the green light and start in the fall; Hollywood. Hurray! Based on several biographies of tamped-down celebrity lives involving interracial, gay and lesbian couplings, as well as women working in Tinseltown, Hollywood would be unearthing many known facts about actors, actresses, directors, produc- ers, and crew members. I'VE HAD THE PLEASURE of working within the Ryan Murphy family for nearly 10 years and feel lucky to be work- ing among some of the best humans in the industry. When I received a call with the news Ryan wanted me for Hollywood, I was working on the set of American Horror Story: 1984 while prepping wigs for reshoots for another of Ryan's shows, Ratched. It was a chaotic moment on a dark stage with rollers, scissors and end papers everywhere. I remember being thrilled and grateful for what was ahead and laughing at the insanity of everything happening in that moment.
