The most reliable shapes in architecture, triangles predate other construction shapes, including the dome, arch, cylinder and even the wheel. Stripped of context, they are delicate sculptures of ethereal beauty, grace and utility. Indig reduces his subjects to lines and shapes resulting in powerful geometric patterns. His ability to distill chaotic subject matter into simple-yet-strong images is something he developed in his early location scouting career. Mark has taken this process of simplifying visual chaos, and raised it to an art form. The show runs through March 20 at Gallery 825/The Los Angeles Art Association, 825 N. La Cienega Blvd., Los Angeles
