PM: Any other great location advice you've received?
MBA: Early in my career, I was told a metaphor that's stuck
with me. I was told to "Imagine the job
as the famous Indiana Jones boulder
scene. You are Indiana Jones and the
company is the boulder. The company
is an inevitable force and you can either
run comfortably ahead of the boulder
or with it, but if you ever fall behind,
you will be crushed." This imagery has
always stood out to me and whenever
I receive a neighborhood to prep,
I just imagine the company as the
inevitable boulder coming to town and
it motivates me to prep the location as
effi ciently as I can.
PM: What are your tools of the trade?
What car or tech gadget or tool can't you
live without?
MBA: I couldn't effectively do this job without my luxurious
2005 Toyota Avalon with cup holders and an AM/FM radio. I'm
kidding but I spend a lot of time in my car every day so it's my
second offi ce and home. It's strangely my favorite place to edit
and upload scout photos. Beyond my vehicle, my favorite tools
are my journal and Post-Its. I believe in writing everything down
because our job is very checklist based and while most tasks
