In addition to creating more wolves for this itera- tion, the studio implemented an HDRI pipeline, which made lighting easier, according to visual effects supervisor Eric Leven. The Tippett team also called on a new node-based fur system, which allowed them to use a “hardware pre- view” via the GPU. This allowed them to review the shot and get fast feedback.
