BAM upgrades audio rooms C HICAGO — BAM Studios (www.bamstudios.com) has completed a renovation of its Studio C, to help accommodate the facility's increasing workload. In the past year, BAM has worked on projects for Big Ten Network TV via Teamworks Media and has grown its ADR business. The studio contributed ADR services to Dick Wolf 's Chicago Fire and MTV's Underemployed, as well as to two full seasons of Kelsey Grammar's Boss. Studio C's upgrades include acoustic treatments to the walls and ceiling, new diffusers, a new floor and custom desks. The control room now uses an Avid Pro Tools|HD 10 DAW and a custom ICON D-Command mixing system. Monitoring is handled via Genelec 5.1 systems and a Sony display. The construction took over two months to complete. BAM's Studios A and B were also upgraded to the latest version of Avid Pro Tools. The upgrades are a combination of DSP hardware, audio software and new audio interfaces.
