people JEFF STEVENS NYC-based editorial boutique Wildchild has added editor/post specialist Jeff Stevens, who has cut spots for national brands such as Powerade, Wendy's, Sears, Panasonic and Volvo. He has worked with agencies such as BBDO, Grey, Ogilvy, and Saatchi. Previously, Stevens was a co-founder of the virtual and digital post shop FeedTheWalrus, overseeing traditional and digital projects. STEVENS KEMP LEVAN KATIE KEMP, JO GRIFFIN Prime Focus London has hired 15-year post vet Katie Kemp as senior editor. Kemp specializes in finishing and grading on Avid Symphony. Previous work includes a range of documentarystyle shows and series, such as Ian Hislop's Stiff Upper Lip, Island Hospital, The Choir: Military Wives and The Life of Muhammad. Prior to joining Prime Focus she worked at The Edit Store, Sanctuary Post and Component. Jo Griffin has been promoted to broadcast producer. She will be managing several multi-episodic series for both UK and US delivery. She has spent the last three years as head of bookings for the content services division at Prime Focus. STACI LEVAN Cut+Run has added editor Staci LeVan to head up the studio's presence in Austin, TX. In addition to working on local projects, she will be available to work via any Cut+Run office and onlocation. She started her career at LA's Mad River Post, followed by Rock Paper Scissors. She then moved to Looking Glass/White House for five years before moving to the Texas market. She has extensive music video as well as commercial experience, including spots for Nike, Jimmy Dean, PlayStation, Kleenex and The Texas Lottery. ROB BLAU Shotgun Software, a pipeline tools developer for the VFX, games and animation industries, has hired Rob Blau as head of pipeline engineering. Formerly a pipeline supervisor at Laika and Dreamworks, Blau will work closely with clients to iterate various workflows and develop new tools and pipelines. He holds B.S. degrees in math and computer science, and an M.S. in computer science, from MIT. FINKELPEARL MELE GRIGOROV MARK FINKELPEARL Philly-based ShootersTV has hired Mark Finkelpearl, a 25-year non-fiction TV vet, as senior VP of development and production. He comes from the RLTV network. RLTV will remain his client moving forward. Previously, Finkelpearl developed and sold programming for companies like Beyond Productions and Eyeworks Cuatro Cabezas, where he served clients including Nat Geo, History and HGTV, and executive produced series like Car Czar, Lock and Load with R. Lee Ermey and Snipers, Inc. His biggest show has been in partnership with Big Fish Entertainment where he co-created TLC's DC Cupcakes. LEE TUCKER, SCOTT MELE Nashville-based post house Forward has hired creative offline editors Lee Tucker and Scott Mele. Lee Tucker is a 14-year vet. His jobs have included senior editor on the Nashville Star TV series, editor on Women of K2 for the Nat Geo, editor on the Stars for Stripes, Wounded Warriors Return for GAC, and editor/director on the Old Crow Medicine Show Live DVD. Scott Mele is a 24-year industry vet who graduated from Middle Tennessee State University in the field of recording industry management and made that his career. His experience includes music videos for Lady Antebellum, Limp Bizkit, Kenny Chesney, The Band Perry, Faith Hill and Aretha Franklin. His spot work includes Verizon Wireless, Cellular One, and Subway. He has also worked on episodic television shows, major network specials and theatrical releases. MARIO GRIGOROV Butter Music & Sound, a creative sound collective, has hired Mario Grigorov as its West Coast creative director. In addition to scoring Shadowboxer, Tennessee, The Paperboy and the Oscar-winning Precious, Grigorov has also audio branded campaigns for Lego, Cymbalta, BMW, JC Penney and more over the last 10 years as the owner/creative director of LA's Siblings Music.
