An engaging group of location
professionals were briefed
on the specifics of filming
at the iconic Grand Central
Terminal, as well information
on train lines, car and other
stations within the sprawling
MTA system. The scouts
walked through dramatic
glass corridors at ceiling
level, revealing the dynamic
cavernous space below.
This amazing historic space
has no location fee for
television and film projects—
only staffing and security fees
are required. Thank you Laura
Berning of the film office and
Meredith Conti and Marissa
Cunningham of the MTA for
the access to such a well-
preserved historic cinematic
venue.

Drive is picking up steam in
the Big Apple. New York LMGI
members participated in a
grand tour of the renowned
Grand Central Terminal,
hosted by the New York
State Governor's Office of
Motion Picture & Television
Development and the MTA/
Metro-North Railroad. The
Beaux-Arts train station is,
according to a Travel + Leisure
survey, "The world's number
six most visited tourist
attraction." The magnificent
architectural craftsmanship
of this monumental space
draws more than 21.6 million
visitors annually, ebbing and
flowing through the dramatic
space. Countless film and
television productions over
the years no doubt contribute
to that figure: The Fisher
