Campbell, who has amassed over 25 years of hospitality experience, was drawn to the opportunity to open the first Westin in Birmingham and to lead the sales organization tasked with successfully selling two distinct properties with 1,051 sleeping rooms ad over 385,000 sq. ft. of meeting space. Previously, Campbell worked for Remington Hospitality Services, Inc., as divisional vice president of sales and marketing. During his 2year tenure, his role was that of leading the sales and marketing initiative for 10 hotels (based in various cities all over North America, including Alaska). Karen Harvey, national sales manager at The Peabody Orlando, engages with professional meeting planners, organizational and community leadership to create personalized and memorable events. Her commitment to cultivate relationships, combined with the hotel's signature Peabody Service Excellence® standards ensure clients needs are both anticipated and fulfilled. Harvey most recently served as National Account Manager, Citywide Team with Visit Orlando, the destination's sales and marketing organization. Currently, she serves the local community as Hostess Committee Chair as a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. Psi Theta Omega Chapter, Metro-Orlando Chapter and general member of the NAACP Brevard County branch. Allen Kantorowitz is the newly hired director of Sales for the Greater Newark Convention & Visitors Bureau (GNCVB). Formerly the North East national account manager for the Greater Houston Convention & Visitors Bureau, and most recently the director of Membership for the Association for National Advertisers, his expertise in group sales and sports marketing landed him in Newark. He will be showcasing the Culture Capital of New Jersey, highlighting Newark's phenomenal world-class sports and entertainment venues as well as affordable accommodations, where he promises group friendly rates and incentives are now available for meeting planners. Travis Peterson, CGMP is the senior sales executive for the Affinity and Government segment for the Atlanta Marriott Marquis. With over 16 years of hospitality experience, Peterson has turned what was initially a college part time job into a lifelong career and passion. After attending East Carolina University where he holds a degree in Hospitality Restaurant and Hotel Management he joined Hyatt Hotels & Resorts to begin his professional career. In addition to his current tenure with the Atlanta Marriott Marquis, his notable hospitality resume includes senior sales management positions with Disney Destinations and Resorts and Hyatt Hotels & Resorts. Peterson has worked with some of the most notable of clientele in the African-American association, faith based and fraternal segments. Kim Dooley is a national accounts manager at the Kansas City Convention & Visitors Association, where she positions KC as a top-of-mind convention destination for the religious and multi-cultural markets. Since joining the KCCVA in 1997, Dooley has booked several major conventions for KC, generating $1 billion in economic impact in the last five years alone. A graduate of the University of Missouri-Kansas City, she was previously the Food & Beverage manager for Park Hyatt in Century City, CA. The Kansas City Convention & Visitors Association is the sales and marketing organization responsible for bringing meetings, conventions and leisure travelers to the area. Conchevia T. Collins is the national accounts manager for the award-winning Philadelphia Convention and Visitors Bureau. In her position, Collins is responsible for marketing and selling the City of Philadelphia as a premiere destination for meetings and conventions. Her main focus is the corporate, association and medial markets in the Northeast Region as well as Multicultural Accounts. During her extensive sales career, Collins has successfully booked the Pennsylvania State Baptist Convention, National Black MBA's Regional Convention and National Coalition of Black Meeting Planners among other meetings & conventions.
