7. BRONZE BEAUTY While 350 pounds of bronze melts in a holding tank, the statuettes are heated in ovens to match the temperature of the molten bronze. Once ready, the bronze is poured into the secondary mold. 8. BREAKING THE MOLD The casting mold is then removed and the statue is sandblasted to remove any remaining remnants of the mold. 9. FINISHING TOUCHES The statue then goes through a technique called metal chasing to polish the surface, then it's torched to oxidize the surface and create the perfect color. 10. HIGH AND MIGHTY Finally, the statue is mounted on a custom- crafted black granite base, ready to be engraved and handed off to the deserving honoree!
