sagaftra.org | Fall 2018 | SAG-AFTRA 69 if every decision-maker made an equally courageous choice. Even now, with all we've learned, there are victims who are afraid to speak out. There are witnesses of harassment who have remained silent. There are still people in power in all industries who continue in their leadership positions despite multiple and credible allegations against them. SAG-AFTRA President Gabrielle Carteris co-leads an AFL-CIO sexual harassment workgroup. She also is a founding ambassador of ReFrame, an initiative of Women In Film and Sundance Institute to further gender parity in the media industry. In 2017, Carteris was appointed commissioner to the Hollywood Commission on Eliminating Sexual Harassment and Advancing Equality. A version of this article appeared in The Hollywood Reporter on Oct. 4. In addition, SAG-AFTRA and the SAG-AFTRA Foundation have partnered with The Actors Fund to offer workplace harassment support services including counseling and referrals. Call the office nearest you.
