B ENCHMARK a global hositality company has added one of Southern California's most acclaimed properties to the com- pany's Benchmark Resorts & Hotels portfolio: Lake Arrowhead Resort & Spa. Located in the San Bernardino National Forest along the shores of Lake Arrowhead, the Four Diamond Resort is part of the Marriott Autograph Collection. "We are honored to add this prestigious and historic resort to our growing list of California properties," says Benchmark CEO Alex Cabañas. "For decades, the resort has been a favorite with Hollywood celebrities and several films were made here in the 1940s and 50s," he notes. Benchmark now operates four California properties. In addition to Lake Arrowhead Resort & Spa, The Mayfair Hotel in Los Angeles, Chaminade Resort & Spa in Santa Cruz, and Forest Suites Resort in South Lake Tahoe, each part of the Benchmark® Resorts & Hotels port- folio, as well as Graduate Berkeley in Berkeley, part of Benchmark's Gemstone Collection®. Lake Arrowhead Resort & Spa recently completed a multi-million ren- ovation program, bringing new restaurant concepts, meeting space, a new spa and a fresh new décor, reflecting the ambiance of a summer mountain experience. The resort, which is owned by Carey Watermark Investors 1, was also one of the first properties to join Marriott's exclusive Autograph Collection. Guests and meeting planners are eligible for Marriott Rewards. ROOMS WITH LAKE AND MOUNTAIN VIEWS A luxurious boutique hotel, Lake Arrowhead offers 162 guest rooms and 11 suites.
