includes three-, four- and five-night Bahamian sailings and five- and six-night Western Caribbean cruises, and most itiner- aries feature a day ashore at Castaway Cay. Other ports of call on Bahamian voyages include Nassau and Key West, while stops in Grand Cayman and Cozumel headline the Western Caribbean itineraries. The Disney Dream sails three- and four- night cruises to Nassau and Castaway Cay. These itineraries make for the perfect family getaway, combining the magic of Disney with the ease and enjoyment of a tropical cruise vacation. The Disney Fantasy sails seven-night Caribbean voyages, and every cruise includes a stop at Castaway Cay. Eastern Caribbean itineraries visit the Virgin Islands of Tortola and St. Thomas, and Western Caribbean cruises call on Cozumel, Grand Cayman and Falmouth. These weeklong experiences allow for even more family fun as guests make memories aboard their Disney cruise ship and at port in renowned tropical destinations. The (Disney Fantasy will also sail a selec- tion of special itineraries. In October, an eight-night voyage transports guests south to St. Kitts, Antigua and San Juan, Puerto Rico, while a six-night Western Caribbean itinerary includes calls on Cozumel and Costa Maya, Mexico. Both itineraries are capped off with a day at Castaway Cay. In December, two unique seven-night itiner- aries include one cruise to San Juan, Tortola and Castaway Cay, and another voyage featuring two days on Disney's pri- vate island after visits to Cozumel and Grand Cayman. Disney Vacation Club Charter Cruises for 2019 Disney Vacation Club recently announced the dates for two special mem- bers-only Disney Cruise Line charter cruises: a five-night Pacific Coast sailing aboard the Disney Wonder on May 15 and a seven-night cruise to Bermuda aboard the Disney Magic on Oct. 5. B M & T ••• July/August 2018 ••• www.blackmeetingsandtourism.com 29 F ollowing its 2019 Alaska season, Carnival Legend will operate a 15- day Panama Canal cruise that will begin in Los Angeles Oct. 12 and end in Tampa Oct. 27, 2019, positioning the vessel to assume week-long Caribbean sailings cur- rently operated by Carnival Miracle which will be posi- tioned to another homeport to be announced shortly. The 15-day Panama Canal cruise will fea- ture Cabo San Lucas, Puerto Que-tzal ( G u a t e m a l a ) , Puntarenas (Costa Rica), before transiting the Panama Canal fol- lowed by stops at Cartagena and Santa Marta (Colombia) and Grand Cayman. Carnival Legend's seven-day schedule from Tampa kicks off Oct. 27, 2019 and includes visits to Grand Cayman, Cozumel, Mahogany Bay and Belize or Costa Maya. On Jan. 25, 2020, the ship will also offer a special eight-day voyage that includes a partial transit of the Panama Canal as well as port calls at Limon and Grand Cayman. Carnival Legend will also operate a round-trip 14-day Panama Canal cruise from Tampa Dec. 1-15, 2019. The voy- age will feature stops at Cozumel and Limon (Costa Rica) before transiting the Panama Canal, then visit Cartagena, Aruba, Curacao and Grand Cayman. SPECIAL NINE-DAY ALASKA, 16-DAY HAWAII VOYAGE Carnival Legend will operate a unique nine-day Alaska cruise round-trip from Vancouver Sept. 17-26, 2019, featuring a day-long call at Icy Strait Point, an unspoiled wilderness area offering some of the best whale and bear watching in the state and the world's longest zip-line, fol- lowed by an extended sail of Glacier Bay and the popular Alaskan ports of Sitka, Skaway, Juneau and Ketchikan. The ship will also operate a 16-day Ha- waii voyage departing Vancouver Sept. 26 and arriving in Los Angeles Oct. 12, 2019. The voyage includes extended visits to four of the Aloha State's most popular destina- tions, including Hilo, Maui, Kona, Kauai, and Honolulu, with opportunities for guests to get an "up close and personal" look at one of the world's most popular vacation desti- nations.
