Actors Guild Life
Achievement Award,
has been bestowed
on members for
career achievement
and humanitarian
accomplishment.
First known as the
Annual Award, it was
proposed by Guild
President George
Chandler (right) in
1962 to honor ���some
of the industry���s past
greats who have been
of service to the Guild,
such as Eddie Cantor
(let), who served as
the second president
of the Guild at a
most crucial period.���
