EVENT WRAP-UP RockIt Bottle I s there anything better than live music? Wente Vineyards, the 128-year-old Livermore Valley winery, likes to think not. Unless, of course, you are talking about good wine. But at the annual BottleRockIt music festival, no one had to make the dreaded decision between indulging in taste versus sound. Operating under the tagline "Good wine, good music, good food, good times," the BottleRockIt festival rocked the Wente Vineyards Estate on September 10. BottleRockIt, formerly known as Day of Discovery, WENTE VINEYARDS' ANNUAL FESTIVAL ROCKS OUT WITH MUSIC AND WINE launched as an all-day music festival featuring more than 20 Northern California indie bands and a handful of national touring acts for only $20. The festival, guest-DJed and hosted by Livermore native and noted Live105 personality Aaron Axelson, featured a lineup that included performances by headlin- ers Givers, The Holdup, Dirty Vegas, Birds and Batteries, A B & The Sea and Olin & The Moon. Karl Wente (far right) plays at BottleRockIt with his band, The Front Porch.
