www.postmagazine.com 40 POST JANUARY 2018 PEOPLE MIKE DALZELL, THEO MANIATIS, CARL LOEFFLER Venice, CA-based VFX studio Kevin has recently appointed Mike Dalzell (photo left) as head of CG, Theo Maniatis (photo right) as VFX supervisor and Carl Loeffler (center) as head of technology. Dalzell brings years of experience as a CG supervisor and lead artist and has worked at such top creative studios as Digital Domain, MPC and Psyop, developing spots for Nissan, BMW, Lexus, Visa and Cars.com. Maniatis, a re- nowned Flame artist and on-set VFX supervisor, has worked with Blur Studios, Psyop, The Mill, Art Jail and Framestore. Loeffler is tapping into more than two decades of experience working for some of the largest facilities in LA, including MPC and Technicolor, creating flexible and efficient production models using the latest Flame systems, high-end 3D workstations and render nodes and putting new networking and storage systems into place. CULLEN KELLY, QUINN ALVAREZ Santa Monica color and post production studio Apache has recently added colorist Cullen Kelly (photo left) to its roster, who will relocate to Southern California, while also promoting colorist Quinn Alvarez (photo right) from an assistant's role to that of a full color artist. Kelly joins Apache from Labrador Post, a color grading studio he founded in Austin, TX. Kelly worked with Apache earlier this year as a freelancer, doing finishing for the debut season of Netflix's American Vandal series. His reel includes short films and promos for The History Channel, FX Networks and SXSW. Alvarez has been with Apache since 2015, joining from the production company Prettybird, where he handled all post duties and worked closely with its directors and pro- ducers. His reel includes work for Nike, Absolut, Jack Daniels, Tumi, Toyota, Lexus and Mercedes-Benz. JUSTIN BRUKMAN, CAMILA DE BIAGGI, ROBERT OWENS MPC has announced ma- jor leadership changes for its advertising studios in the US. Justin Brukman (center), previously MD of MPCNY and acting MD of MPCLA, has been appointed MD of North America. In this role he will be responsible for the overall management and direction of the advertising business throughout North America. Brukman is a long-time MPC employee who has been with the company for over 15 years. Camila De Biaggi (left) has been promoted to Brukman's previous role of MD of MPCNY. De Biaggi joined MPCNY as head of production in 2013 and was quickly promoted to EP in 2014. Robert Owens (right), who recently joined MPC and who brings with him over 14 years of industry experience, is promoted to the role of MD, advertising, MPCLA. All three executives will join MPC's global advertising senior management team. NARBEH TATOUSSIAN Toronto's Sim recently hired Narbeh Tatoussain as senior colorist, working out of the Los Angeles post division. Tatoussian was a colorist on hundreds of feature films and television shows. He has worked with such directors as Jordan Vogt-Roberts (Kings of Summer, Kong and Skull Island) and John Dahl (Rounders, Jessica Jones), cinematographers such as Russell Carpenter (Ant-Man, Titanic) and Shelly Johnson (Captain America, The Wolfman, Jurassic Park III) and has colored various music videos for art- ists such as Kid Rock, Kendrick Lamar, Fergie and Jason Derulo. KATE AND LAURA MULLEAVY LA production company Anonymous Content welcomes sister directors Kate (photo left) and Laura Mulleavy (right) to its roster for commercial representation. The signing comes on the heels of the sisters making their feature film debut with the drama Woodshock, which they wrote and directed. The siblings also have roots in fashion, having presented their spring 2018 couture collection for their own fashion label, Rodarte, during Paris Haute Couture Week. Though their background is in fashion, the two are no strangers to film, hav- ing designed the ballet costumes for Darren Aronofsky's Black Swan, for which they were nominated for a Broadcast Film Critics Award. Naturally, they also designed the costumes for the artistically divergent Woodshock. ABBE DANIEL Eight VFX, the New York and Los Angeles-based visual effects, design and production studio, has named Abbe Daniel as its new executive producer for its New York office. Daniel joins Eight VFX from Leroy & Clarkson, the brand design and identity boutique in New York. She's held key positions at production companies and agencies, specializing in the production of digital ad campaigns, visual effects work and experiential installations. Prior to Leroy & Clarkson, she was an EP at the experiential studio Fake Love, and has held EP/MD or senior producer posts at such studios as Digital Kitchen, Curious Pictures, Click 3X and R/GA. EMILY KIMBALL, MAT MARTIN Elias has added executive producers Emily Kimball to its New York City and Mat Martin to its Chicago studios. Kimball is a talented composer and musician who previously worked at Pulse Music as head of business development and marketing. There, she worked with a range of clients including Crayola, Pizza Hut, BMW and Cheerios. Martin has over a decade of experience in the commercial music space spanning music licensing, producing, sales and marketing roles in Chicago and New York City. Prior to joining ELIAS, Martin worked at Trax, Revolution 9 as a production manager/licensing rep and Extreme Music as a sales/marketing executive and manager of NY sales & marketing.
