EVENT RECAP 84 / the tasting panel / november 2017 KEEPING IT Barton 1792 Distillery was established in 1879 and continues today as the old- est fully-operating distillery in Bardstown, Kentucky. It's located right in the heart of Bourbon Country. Spirit Works Distillery, led by husband-and-wife team Timo and Ashby Marshall of Sonoma County, brings a combination of traditional British legacy and innovative West Coast style to its line of whiskey and gin. Sara Southern serves as The Artisanal Group's Southern California District Manager, and her team organized the Fall Trade Tasting in Downtown Los Angeles. After joining the group at its incep- tion, she has been a major contribu- tor to the rise of the portfolio.
