Pictures When Denis Villeneuve and I began Blade Runner 2049, I asked him if there was a word he would use to describe the movie. He paused, and then said, "Brutality." Sitting with him in Montreal in the dead of winter, this ironically set the path we were about to travel. I recalled an old story from 1981, which I thought might interest him. During a meeting I had while working with Dean Tavoularis at Zoetrope Studios, Dean got a call from Francis Coppola saying someone wanted to buy the neon signs from Bibi's View. Concept art by Victor Martinez done in Form•Z and Photoshop.
