Since its inception, this groundbreaking and well-regarded initiative has been extremely successful at introducing a true merit-based diversity into the ADG's creative community. The demand within our professional community for these eager and focused PAs remains exceptionally high. The PAs are employed and compensated just as any other production assistant would be, by the signatory production company that might hire you or them. The initiative is designed to provide on-the-job mentorship, supervision and training to future Art Directors and Production Designers, providing the participants with real-time workplace experience and exposure to our profession. In tandem with their work opportunities, the PAs participate in ADG community service activities such as the annual awards program, Film Society and various Archives endeavors. We encourage all AD Branch members to consider these talented interns in the hope that your Art Departments can find a place for them to learn, contribute and grow. If you have an opening for a production apprentice, please consider one of them. Originally intending to study architecture, Albert eventually realized Set Design was the perfect blend of his love for the built environment and storytelling. Always having had a passion for TV and film, he gained his first experience working in an Art Department the summer before his senior year. Since then, he has gained experience working on shows for Netflix and Amazon.
