To develop a superior drink, you need to utilize remarkable spirits like Chinggis Khan. Named for an alternate pronuncia- tion of Genghis Khan, the leader of the Mongol empire during its reign in the 13th century, Chinggis includes two expressions in its port- folio: Chinggis Original (SRP $65) and Chinggis White (SRP $71). Made in Mongolia by Spirit Bal Buram, which has 43 years of vodka manufacturing and exporting experience, Chinggis Original starts with wheat grains harvested from the temperate Mongol Steppe and glacial water. The juice goes through three distillations before it is platinum-filtered, and the result is an award-winning vodka: It took home a Double Gold at the 2017 San Francisco World Spirits Competition and a Gold Medal at the 2014 competition. Introduced in 2013, Chinggis White results from the same vodka as Chinggis Original put through a milk filtration process. This produces a vodka with a soft nose, a smooth mouthfeel, and a nice, subtle bite with a clean finish. This expression, like its sibling, also knows a thing or two about racking up medals—it won a Gold Medal at the 2015 San Francisco World Spirits Competition and a Silver Medal the previous year. These spirits live up to their namesake as bold vodkas that can be enjoyed on their own or in a concoction that will conquer the taste buds of your guests. MONGOLIAN BEVERAGES COMPANY
